Chloé and her SUGG

When Chloé saw SUGG for the first time, she thought it was beautiful and well-designed. After riding it around the Small Ring of Brussels, it felt ergonomic and lightweight, too. As a bonus, the company's values line up with hers. So, since December 2024, she’s a proud SUGG owner.

SUGG is electrically assisted, it still allows me to put in some physical effort, too. That was important to me.

From never biking to riding one very day

I’m self-employed and work from home, so my days are not always the same. I use my SUGG to go see clients, because I was fed up with parking in Brussels. Or even to go for a quick errand. The shops are only 10 minutes on foot, but taking my Sugg with two baskets on the back rack makes it even easier.

I’m quite short, so I needed a small yet ergonomic bike that would let me weave through traffic easily. Sugg does just that.

It sparks curiosity and conversation anywhere

When I ride around on the SUGG, people are always intrigued. It’s so funny! It gets attention any time, and someone will always comment, “It’s a beautiful bike.” Or they’ll say, “I don’t understand, where are the gear cables?” The bike is so light and sleek that they can’t see where the gear mechanism is.

A real treasure for a stress-free life

Whenever I have to get around Brussels now, I think “thank goodness I have this bike”. I even go as far as Jette, about a 40-minute ride. Before, it would take the same time by car, but I’d arrive super stressed and need five minutes to calm down before seeing clients. Now, I enjoy the ride. It’s smooth and easy!

My SUGG has been a lifesaver too. We only have one car, but one day I forgot that my husband, Mathieu, needed it. And I had to go to Louvain-la-Neuve. Luckily, we have train stations Watermael-Boitsfort and Etterbeek nearby. I just hopped on the train with my SUGG and I didn’t need to stress.

I love having an electric bike that is sustainable

Another thing I love about SUGG is that it’s so light you can even use it without the battery. So when it runs out, or someday they stop making the battery, or mine gets too old, the bike isn’t wasted. That really appealed to me from a sustainability and circularity perspective.

“I didn’t want an electric bike that would become heavy and useless once the battery was dead. No matter what happens, my SUGG keeps going!”
