Dorien and her SUGG

Dorien had been looking for a train-friendly commuter bike for quite a while. One day, she saw someone riding a SUGG and thought it looked amazing! The person was so friendly, they pointed her directly to the shop. And the rest is history.

“I spent an about an hour in the shop, did a test ride and was sold on the spot. This was it!”

My SUGG makes the everyday joyful

I’m a teacher at CVO Brussels, so I go to different locations and community centers for my classes. A typical day means riding to one of those centers, teaching, and riding home again. Honestly, riding around Brussels is a joy now.

“I now have a secondhand SUGG, which came with a little basket on the back. I use it for groceries sometimes, super practical!”

It checks all the cycling wishlist boxes

It’s just really smooth. I can get up hills so easily. The compact frame helps you use your strength more efficiently when climbing. It’s also lightweight, not a heavy bike at all. And super agile, which is useful in Brussels traffic when you need to react quickly.

The perfect commute companion

Every now and then, I take the train to Ghent, and the SUGG is just so easy to bring along. It’s light, it folds in one click, and it’s no hassle to carry on stairs. I keep it one floor up at home, and even that’s not a problem.

A lovely community that looks out for each other

When another SUGG rider passes by, there’s always a friendly nod or wave, even if we don’t know each other. It feels like a small, joyful community.

My first SUGG unfortunately got stolen. That was a sad moment. But what stood out was how the SUGG community rallied. People helped me try to track it down. Later, a SUGG seller messaged me about a secondhand bike. Now I’m so glad I have one again.

“I can say it without a doubt: once you go SUGG, you can’t go back.”

We go the distance with a smile

A lot of my friends live in Forest, which is further and hillier. It’s doable, of course, but with a SUGG it’s ten times more fun. The ride itself becomes the reward, not just a task to complete. That’s what SUGG brings — joy.

Even for longer distances, it still feels comfortable. If you want a bike for Brussels, built by and for people in Brussels, this is it! There’s a whole philosophy behind it. And the color? It’s the color of the sun, that just adds to the happiness.

“There’s an electric version too, but I don’t need it. The standard SUGG already feels electric — that’s how well it’s built.”
